Lipids play vital roles in health and diseases. My laboratory is interested in identifying the novel lipid transporters and characterizing their physiological functions. We contributed in the identification of physiological ligands for Mfsd2a and Mfsd2b lipid transporters.
The research that my laboratory carries is innovative in the way that we focus on revealing the molecular and physiological functions of previously uncharacterized proteins.
We will continue to search for novel lipid transporters and unravel the physiological roles of plasma lipids, especially lysolipids, in normal and disease conditions.
We focus our studies on the characterizing the physiological functions of lipid transporters. Our strong expertise includes lipid biochemistry and animal physiology.
